Healthy Diet

Healthy Diet
Healthy Diet
Everyone is free to choose how they feed and thus has great impact on his health. Only no one really knows exactly what healthy eating actually is. And the same two old wives tales are told again and again the same: First, the usual diet is ideal for people or even second, namely that diet had little to do with health.

No health without healthy diet

But the widespread poor health of the people is the exact opposite, namely, first, that the usual diet is obviously not ideal and that secondly full health without a healthy diet is as good as impossible. But what healthy eating actually is now?

1 How to find out what is really healthy diet?

Now, there are known a lot of different types of food and diets, which are known as exceptionally healthy or even to have healing powers. The Blood Type Diet , the GI Diet , the metabolic diet , the diet of Fit for Life , the Ayurvedic diet , the food combining , the food on the 5 elements , the vegan diet and infinitely many more.

By Think

Did you find out what is the existing diets only right now, then you would at least ten more, and this life alone with the study of it to spend. But in the end you still do not know which diet is right and above all healthy.

Basically you need to do two things, to find out what is healthy eating. First, think for a while. And secondly, you should do quite objectively. Remember to take your own culinary preferences, you forget your habits and especially forget everything (or at least most), what you have heard and read about nutrition.

What is a "healthy diet"?

Healthy diet is the optimal diet. A diet that the organism is what he needs. A diet that lets you - when you're sick - is healthy and - if you're healthy - stay healthy. This diet I would like to describe here - and uncompromising.

Compromises you make sure sooner or later one myself. If you are smart, but only to the extent that your body can tolerate in his health also. As long as you do not know what's really healthy diet is because you are continually fobbed off on all sides with compromises or even false claims, then you can not also decide to what extent you follow the rules really healthy diet and how far you away from it want.

If there were this product without the food industry?

The easiest method to decide whether this or that food, and whether this or that part of preparation for a healthy diet, is to consider whether there would be this or that product without the help of the food industry. If no, then it is avoided or prepared so that it is healthy.

Take, for example chips from potatoes. Here the decision is not very hard. Chips are produced industrially. If you're lucky, there are potato slices, but often enough to potato powder, fried pressed with cheap fat in disk form, "embellished" with dyes and was treated with flavor enhancers. Potato chips as they are sold in the supermarket, there would not be without the food industry, which is why they do not belong to a healthy diet.

However, if you organically grown cut potatoes into slices and dry at low temperature itself or bake in oven, then with high-quality vegetable oil (see Healthy fats ) sprinkle with crystal salt seasoning, paprika and herbs and fresh eating, then these potato chips "homegrown" be part of a healthy diet.

It is also particularly helpful when we to decide what is now part of a healthy diet and what is not our closest relatives in the animal kingdom - the chimpanzees - for advice.

The color code of the diet

The Color Code Of The Diet
The Color Code Of The Diet
Sure, a lot of fruits and vegetables is healthy. But only the "standards" as a few apples or bananas from time to time a tomato in a basket - that's not enough. Imagination is needed if we want to eat really balanced. The researchers recommend diet. And they go further: Fruits and vegetables should be the foundation of the Diet to be - the largest portion of what we eat should be vegetable and unprocessed as possible, such as in bread. Then the good stuff also develop a really good effect. And what the scientists have found out about it, is a great motivation.

Where does the healthy color?

Responsible such as for the reds, berries or red cabbage, for the yellow-orange nuances - of apricots and carrots - are natural dyes, which are among the phytochemicals. Experts estimate that there are up to 100,000 of them different. Plants form this color and fragrances to attract beneficial insects, for example. And thus they protect against harmful UV light, bacteria and fungi. In the human body these substances are beneficial: they promote metabolism, strengthen the immune system, inhibit cancer and protect the heart and arteries.

Junk Food and how it Affects the Body

Junk Food And How It Affects The Body
Junk Food And How It Affects The Body
Junk food is available wherever you may be. We see it anywhere we go and its marketing strategies are more attractive and appealing than ever – the more it is harder to resist munching the entire bag.  They are commercially prepared and packed making them very convenient to bring along.

Generally, junk foods have very low nutritional value. Aside from that, they have low to no fiber, high in saturated fat, most are high in sugar or salt which makes it very palatable, and a single serving contains very high amount of calories.

The high amount of saturated and trans fats in junk foods may lead to fat build-up in the blood clogging the arteries, increasing the blood pressure, increasing the risk for heart disease and certain forms of cancer.

Too much sodium can also increase the blood volume because salt attracts water which can result to water retention. This will disturb the balance in the fluid intake and output which can affect different systems in the body.

Refined sugar which is commonly found in most junk foods not only causes tooth decay but also ends up as stored fat because sugar is stored in the liver as glucose and too much of it can lead to obesity and type 2 diabetes.

The busy lifestyle forces us to eat at times outside or to order food in. Following these steps however is easy and allows us to reduce the effects of junk food on our bodies

  • Familiarize yourself with the nutrition ingredients of the food you are ordering. Today you can find this information on the internet. Healthy Diets Plans for that matter has compiled for you a database with most of the food items you find in the restaurant chains around you.
  • Make sure that you order reasonable size meals – avoid up sizing at all costs if you are not planning to share the meal. Up sizing the meal is a typical marketing technique that restaurant chains use to profit from. You can definitely do without these extra grams of fries or additional ml of soda – and definitely a burger with double patties is there for you to frown at.
  • When ordering look for the green items on the menu; many restaurant chains have recently introduced salads to their menus – make sure you go for low fat dressings as those are both calorie and fat laden.
  • When ordering Pizzas pick thin crust over regular / thick crust and avoid at all costs stuffed crust. The amount of processed cheese available in the fillings has enough calories to substitute for the whole meal.
  • When ordering / eating outside skip the starters that are made from processed food such as mozzarella sticks; these are calorie and fat laden

What is health?

Is a multidimensional dynamic process that varies taking into account the resources of the individual, strong.

The best-known definition of health, formulated in 1946, the World Health Organization (WHO) as follows:

"Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity."

This definition is too narrow and makes a complementary point of view, the uniqueness of each individual and his personal situation, from the outset.

Holistically considered, a person is thus never "very healthy" and never "sick".

Basically, the understanding and knowledge about the causes of the emergence or development of a disease of great importance.

In addition to a genetic-familial predisposition also includes a question the personality disposition of individuals,
and its consequent processing variant, the product's development of its health.

Accompanying are also his social environment as well as the satisfaction of basic needs extremely important:

5 levels of needs pyramid

The 5 levels of needs pyramid

  • Ø   physiological needs:

Breathing, sleep, food, warmth, health, housing, clothing, sexuality, movement

  • Ø   Security:

Law and order, protection against hazards, fixed income, hedge, property

  • Ø   Social needs:

Family, friends, partner, love, intimacy, communication

  • Ø   Individuality needs:

Greater appreciation of status, respect, recognition (awards, praise), wealth, money, influence, personal and professional success, mental and physical strength

  • Ø   Self actualization:

Individuality, talent development, perfection, enlightenment, self improvement

Deficit needs and insatiable needs

The lower three levels of the pyramid (and also part of the fourth) are also called deficiency needs.

These needs must be met, so you're happy, but if they are true, you have no more motivation to meet this (if you are not thirsty anymore, is trying not to drink, for example).

Insatiable needs contrast, can never be really satisfied.

These occur on the fifth stage, but partly also already on the fourth.
